The ashram believes in divinity in all beings and creatures of the world. Anandashram is situated in a calm, serene environment with simple, low-rise buildings surrounded by woods. The mornings and evenings resound with the melodious twittering of birds. Manjampothikkunnu near the ashram is an ideal place for meditation. Simple, vegetarian food is served for the visitors and they are provided with accommodation for a limited period of time. Anandashram has a special goshala with more than 50 cows and for this reason, the diet at the ashram includes a lot of milk products.
The goshala stands apart, in that it is fitted with ceiling fans and the recordings of chants on Lord Rama are played softly all the time. The word Anandashram itself means ‘Abode of Bliss’. The basic facilities of the ashramam consist of a reception, an information centre, a book stall, satsang hall, panchavati bhajan hall, centenary hall, samadhi mandirs, bhojanasala (where food is served) and goshala.
